Treehouse, a web3 data company based in Singapore, has announced its acquisition of Origins Analytics as part of its strategy to expand into NFT (Non-Fungible Token) analytics.
In a press release issued on Thursday, Treehouse revealed that it had completed the intellectual property acquisition of Origins Analytics to enhance its NFT product offerings. Treehouse is known for providing digital asset data services to institutional clients, with its flagship product, Hyperion, focusing on portfolio management and market intelligence. Hyperion offers institutional investors and professional traders tools for managing their digital assets, including a variety of widgets for personalized dashboard visualizations to track cryptocurrency market trends and evaluate portfolio performance and risk.
As part of this acquisition, the original team from Origins Analytics will join Treehouse to assist in integrating their technology into Treehouse’s product suite. This integration will involve the development of a live algorithmically tagged NFT wallet notification system, command-based generated NFT market analytics, and an NFT wallet profiling API.
Origins Analytics is a data analytics platform that utilizes both on-chain and off-chain data to offer NFT data analysis services for NFT traders, protocols, game studios, and other stakeholders. The company had previously secured $4 million in funding in 2022 and boasts a robust community of over 10,000 users.
Treehouse stated in its press release, “These tools will help Hyperion users understand and analyze NFT trading volumes, social sentiment, holder behavior, and more to make better NFT trading and collector decisions.”
While specific financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed by Treehouse, the move underscores the company’s dedication to its clients, many of whom have investments in NFTs. Brandon Goh, the CEO of Treehouse, expressed confidence in the alignment of Origins’ technology with the needs of its users and how this integration will allow them to better serve the broader NFT community.
In 2021, Treehouse successfully raised $18 million in a seed round, with leading contributions from various venture capital and strategic investors, including Lightspeed, MassMutual, Binance, Mirana, LeadBlock, Jump, GSR, Wintermute, and more. The press release also noted that the company is currently exploring M&A opportunities as part of its mission to become “The Most Comprehensive Digital Asset Analytics Platform.”
