In a recent post shared on X platform on February 7, Chow sought input from his followers regarding potential community events for Nobody. He also updated his profile pictures on X and Instagram to feature a Nobody Avatar.
Encouraging his followers, Chow urged them to adopt Nobody images as their profile pictures.
Numerous celebrities, including Jay Chou, JJ Lin, Ashin from Mayday, Wu Jianhao, among others, have taken to social media to express their endorsement of “Nobody.”
The “Nobody” NFT Collection
The collection’s inception was announced in December 2023, when Chow revealed his collaboration with Chinese-American rapper MC Jin for the release of an NFT collection.
“Nobody” made its debut on the Moonbox platform, an AI and Web3 startup based in Hong Kong, specializing in launching AI-powered NFTs inspired by the arts and film industry.
Chow’s agent, Chris Chan, stated, “Chow has always aspired to develop an indigenous IP based on Web3, with the aim of bringing top-notch Chinese storytelling abilities to the Web3 industry.” He added, “The design inspiration for the upcoming NFT series ‘Nobody’ is indeed drawn from the essence embodied by Stephen Chow: the resilience and determination to achieve greatness despite humble beginnings.”
Jacky Cao, co-founder of Moonbox, highlighted that users will have the opportunity to interact and engage in conversations with each Nobody NFT character, gaining insights into their personalities, interests, and backstories. Moreover, holders of Nobody NFTs will enjoy the privilege of participating in the secondary creation of Nobody characters using exclusive digital features and tools.
The Nobody Airdrop
On January 10, Chow teamed up with crypto exchange OKX to introduce a Nobody NFT whitelist giveaway, attracting participation from more than 125,000 users. The airdrop included 2,500 Nobody NFTs up for distribution, with the overall supply of Nobodys capped at 10,000.
Developers emphasized that holders of Nobody collectibles would have the opportunity to actively engage in the project’s evolution and benefit from numerous privileges. These privileges include involvement in proposals, collaborative creation, voting rights, and contributing to the development of Nobody intellectual property.
