Netflix Documentary ‘NFT:WTF?’ to Feature Damien Hirst, Beeple, and Snoop Dogg

Today, there’s fresh NFT news: Netflix has secured the UK distribution rights for ‘NFT:WTF?’, an upcoming documentary helmed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker David Shulman.

This documentary delves into the realm of NFTs and their profound influence on the art market, as reported by Variety. The film promises to explore various aspects, ranging from CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club to renowned collectors and industry pioneers, engaging with the core figures driving the NFT movement.

Featuring exclusive interviews with notable personalities such as English artist and art enthusiast Damien Hirst, digital artist Beeple (Mike Winkelmann), and the iconic Snoop Dogg, ‘NFT:WTF?’ offers an in-depth examination of this burgeoning digital frontier.

The film is a collaborative effort between Battersea Entertainment and Atomized Studios.

Directed by Shulman and produced by Josh Berger, with Zad Rogers, Lydia Conway, and Ben Weston serving as executive producers, the project’s producer for Atomized Studios is Alex Foster.

“NFT:WTF?” marks the inaugural venture for Battersea Entertainment, established by former Warner Bros. UK, Ireland, and Spain president Josh Berger in 2022. Battersea Entertainment operates as a media investment and advisory company, as well as a producer of film, TV, and theatre content. Notably, Berger recently produced Guy Ritchie’s “The Covenant,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

The distribution rights for “NFT:WTF?” have been secured by Netflix, with Battersea and Atomized Studios handling the sale. Additionally, Passion Distribution is responsible for selling the film’s rights in all other global territories, as reported by Variety.

What we write about

I want to save money. Will cryptocurrency work?

Cryptocurrency is essentially virtual money that operates in a decentralized manner, not through a bank but directly on multiple independent computers.

Every cryptocurrency has two main components: the units of digital exchange called “coins” and the network within which the exchange takes place. These units can be transferred between wallets and exchanged on exchanges. The networks in which these coins exist are called blockchains, which translates to “chains of blocks.”
