Logan Paul Is Reimbursing CryptoZoo NFT Victims, Launches $2.3M Buy-Back Program

Social media influencer Logan Paul has informed his extensive follower base about his commitment to personally reimburse individuals affected by the unsuccessful NFT project CryptoZoo, a venture he both launched and endorsed.

In a recent announcement, Paul expressed his satisfaction in fulfilling his promise to repurchase Base Egg and Base Animal CryptoZoo NFTs at their original purchase prices. His declaration signifies a proactive step to address the concerns of those involved in the project.

Logan Paul Takes CryptoZoo Matters Into His Own Hands

In an extensive post on X (formerly Twitter), Logan Paul announced his initiative to personally compensate individuals affected by the unsuccessful NFT project CryptoZoo.

In his statement, Paul declared his commitment to a buy-back program, pledging over $2.3 million to repurchase Base Eggs and Base Animals from every individual who had the intention to participate in CryptoZoo.

While acknowledging his role in promoting the project that attracted many, Paul took responsibility for the repayment, attributing the project’s failure to malicious individuals who sabotaged it. He emphasized that these “bad actors” not only stole money but also betrayed the internal team while actively undermining the game.

CryptoZoo Emerged as a Promising Venture

In 2021, armed with a massive online audience of 4 million subscribers, Logan Paul fervently endorsed CryptoZoo. The platform was presented as an alluring game with the promise of lucrative opportunities, drawing comparisons to iconic brands like Pokémon in its promotional campaigns.

However, the narrative shifted when YouTuber CoffeeZilla released a three-part series scrutinizing the CryptoZoo venture. The investigation brought attention to concerns surrounding CryptoZoo’s business model.

Moreover, the game lured players to invest in in-game currency, leading to unmet expectations and unrecovered investments for participants. The critique from CoffeeZilla shed light on issues within the CryptoZoo project, prompting a reassessment of its viability and integrity.

What we write about

I want to save money. Will cryptocurrency work?

Cryptocurrency is essentially virtual money that operates in a decentralized manner, not through a bank but directly on multiple independent computers.

Every cryptocurrency has two main components: the units of digital exchange called “coins” and the network within which the exchange takes place. These units can be transferred between wallets and exchanged on exchanges. The networks in which these coins exist are called blockchains, which translates to “chains of blocks.”
