The renowned Japanese gaming company, Square Enix, has revealed the process for players to acquire characters in its upcoming non-fungible token (NFT) game, Symbiogenesis. As the Ethereum and Polygon NFT game approaches its anticipated December launch, the creator of the Final Fantasy series announced the initiation of the ‘Chapter 1’ allowlist campaign for the forthcoming game.
Rather than conducting a public mint for Symbiogenesis, Square Enix has opted for an “allow” list approach. Players interested in obtaining characters for the game will need to participate in the campaign to secure a spot on this list.
Participating in the Allow List Entry Campaign is the exclusive method for minting characters from Chapter 1, as emphasized by Square Enix. Additionally, participants in the campaign will have the opportunity to receive prizes in the form of Relics, which can be redeemed for Chapter 2 Allow List points.
For top-ranking players, there is the exciting prospect of minting a character for free, as the company stated, “stand a chance.” Even if a free character from Chapter 1 is not secured, players are encouraged to take their chances with subsequent chapters (2 through 6).
It’s worth noting that the Allow List will be reset, and a new Entry Campaign will be conducted for each subsequent chapter, ensuring an ongoing and dynamic engagement with the game’s NFT ecosystem.
Collect Them All
The campaign, featuring “various activities,” is scheduled to take place on the game’s Discord server for a duration of two weeks, spanning from November 7 to November 21.
These engaging activities encompass the Prologue Quiz, the Lucky Bloom, the Majority-Minority Game, and the Hella Difficult Quiz. To participate, players are required to log in and link their wallet to their Discord account.
Engagement in treasure hunts and involvement in social media campaigns are vital components for collecting NFT Relics during this period. The accumulation of these Relics will be instrumental in earning member points, with the points awarded based on the quantity of Relics collected.
Participation in Phase 2 of the NFT Character Mint will be exclusive to those with the highest ranking, as specified on the website. The NFT Character Mint process is slated to unfold in three distinct phases. Notably, Phase 2 participants will have a “high chance” of minting a character for free.
A total of 90 individuals will progress to Phase 2, while the remaining participants will be awarded Relics. These Relics can be redeemed for points, providing an advantageous position for the Chapter 2 Allow List Entry Campaign.
Importantly, participants eligible for Phase 2 will automatically qualify for Phase 3. This final phase will encompass all individuals who took part in the campaign, ensuring continued engagement and inclusivity within the NFT Character Mint process.
Multiple Endings
As outlined on the website, Symbiogenesis has the overarching goal of “establishing a new intellectual property (IP) within the realm of Web3.” The development team strongly encourages character owners to actively utilize their characters within the game and engage with the community.
The characters within Symbiogenesis are categorized into four types based on their uniqueness and relevance to the story: facet, mesh, line, and point.
The central character, the Protagonist, is named Chroma. The main narrative unfolds with the meeting of Chroma the Guard and Lambda the Conservator. Lambda currently holds the leadership position in the Land of Salvation situated on the Floating Continent.
In this fictional world, humanity has found refuge on the Floating Continent to survive environmental pollution. However, a sudden Dragon attack jeopardizes the safety of everything and everyone in this precarious setting.
The World Mission serves as the concluding chapter of the game, featuring a narrative with multiple endings that are contingent on the outcome of this mission. To qualify for participation in the World Mission, players must have successfully completed all preceding missions and collected specific, special items.
Notably, only three individuals who meet the criteria of completing all missions and acquiring the designated items will have the opportunity to partake in the pivotal World Mission, adding an element of exclusivity to this phase of the game.
